Canadian Immigration medical examination
Dr Ciszak is an Immigration Panel Physician for Citizenship and Immigration Canada since 1983
Your medical examination can be done quickly and conveniently in our office.
All tests are done at one location and in one visit. The process will be completed using the eMedical electronic system operated by the government.
WHAT TO DO IN 5 EASY STEPS:
Decide if our clinic suits you
We are located in downtown Vancouver, at 1144 Burrard Street on the 4th floor. See our location map and decide if it is convenient for you.
We are open 5 days a week, Also check our price calculator for the exact cost and the exact breakdown of the services you will require.
Submit to us all the information required by immigration, using our secure form. This will allow us to prepare your file in advance. This is important because the eMedical server frequently goes down during business hours. Without the pre-registration your appointment may be significantly delayed or even impossible to complete.
Make an appointment
After you have registered please phone us to make an appointment. We usually have appointments available within a few days. You will be given instructions about what exactly to bring with you.
Groups of 3 people or more will require a prepayment to reserve a block of time.
Arrive for your appointment
You will be seen immediately. The appointment usually takes 90 minutes for a single person or about 120 minutes for a couple.
You will have a standard physical examination by Dr. Ciszak.
This does not involve an internal examination or breast examination.
A chaperone may be available if a female examinee requests one.
Dr Ciszak is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Russian and Polish
Depending on age, you may also need a chest X-ray and laboratory tests.
The tests do not require fasting (you can eat before you come in).
If you are pregnant and are concerned about X-rays, check here.
As soon as your medical report is complete we will transmit it to CIC in Ottawa via the eMedical portal. If any of your tests are abnormal we will let you know before sending the report. You will receive an answer directly from Immigration. The doctor is not informed about the outcome of your application.
If you receive no reply for more than 2 or 3 months, you can call the Medical Branch in Ottawa at 1-888-242-2100 then press -1 -2. Please, do not call that number sooner than two months after your examination.
If the above does not answer all your questions, please call us at: 604-682-5291 or check out the official Citizenship and Immigration Canada website
