Dr Ciszak is a Panel Doctor for the Australian High Commission
in Ottawa (since 2000)

Your medical examination can be done quickly and conveniently in our office. All tests are done at one location and in one visit. The whole process takes about 90 minutes. Here is what you need to know:

Where to go?
We are located in downtown Vancouver, at 1144 Burrard Street, on the 4th floor. See our location map for more details.

Important: Do not have your X-ray examination before you register with us. You must see us first and we will refer you for X-ray.

When can I do it?
You can do it almost immediately. We usually have appointments available for the next day. The examinations are done between 9 and 12 in the morning and between 2 and 4 in the afternoon. Usually, there is little or no waiting. The whole visit will be about 90 minutes (longer if more than one person).

What to bring?
--- Passport
--- 2 passport photos (or you can have them done in our office for $17)
--- Examination forms, filled out. More information about forms here.
--- Eyeglasses or contact lenses if you use them
--- List of medications you are taking

What is involved?
The physical examination by the doctor is a general checkup. It does not involve an internal examination and, usually, does not involve a breast examination. A chaperone may be available if a female examinee requests one The other tests depend on age:

How much does it cost?
The usual total cost for adults is $200. This includes the examination, basic tests, paperwork and sending the documentation to Ottawa by express mail. This assumes that there are no additional blood tests required. The total fee may vary depending on your circumstances - see price list

What happens after the examination?
As soon we have received all your lab reports (usually within a week), we will send your medical report either to Ottawa or to Sydney (depending on your visa category). You will receive an answer directly from the Australian authorities.
The doctor is not informed about the outcome of your application.
